Need a Hand with a Project?

The Giving Jay connects volunteers with neighbors who need help with small projects at home, at work, or in the community. If you have a project you can’t tackle on your own, tell us about it here.

We can’t promise every request will be approved, but we will review each one and do our best as volunteers and funds allow.

What Kinds of Projects Can I Request?

Examples include:

Yard clean-up or light outdoor work
Small paint jobs or touch-ups
Basic organizing or sorting
Simple repair or clean-up projects
Help setting up for an event

If you’re not sure if your project fits, go ahead and submit it and we’ll let you know.

If we’re able to help, we’ll contact you to talk about dates, times, and details.

Volunteers donate their time. In some cases, you may be asked to help with the cost of materials if you’re able.

I understand that volunteers have recieved a background check by The Giving Jay.
I understand volunteers will have a badge with their credentials upon arrival.
I understand I have the right to refuse or terminate the project at any time.
I understand the project date, time, location, and volunteer name must be confirmed prior to project initiation.
I understand that the volunteer assigned may have limitations or barriers, may have to reach out for additional assistance, return with parts or supplies, and is not liable for accidental damage as the volunteer is working on the project in good faith.
I understand that the volunteer cannot put themselves or others at risk in order to complete a project.

All boxes must be agreed to and checked in order for community project applications to be approved.
